The client is a global leader in the powersports industry with operations in more than 100 countries.
The client lacked skilled resources for maintaining niche, costly and obsolete middleware solution, wherein making changes to the existing stack were also difficult.
Without any documentation on business logic and formats of communication, the client was facing difficulty in managing and maintaining both the resources as well as the solution.
YASH analyzed their business functionality and architected an ‘API’ solution to supersede the existing ‘IBM Message broker’ middleware, and created nearly 40 APIs dedicated to every business function. We also architected the APIs to support both newer and older formats of communication. The Binary large objects (Blobs) on Azure were used to hold large workloads for batch process requests.
The solutions implemented not only helped significantly enhance the quality of communication, proactivity of maintenance, and reduced product delivery time. The client achieved a 22% reduction in their total cost of ownership by making a paradigm shift from traditional middleware platform to API-based application integration.
