Transforming supply chain analytics with SAP S/4 HANA
Headquartered in the United States, the client is a global manufacturer of automotive systems and components with a footprint across 6 continents
With more than 4500 employees across 28 countries, the client wanted to evolve, simplify and create a uniform IT SAP landscape with easier maintenance
Given that the client’s data was growing by 10% y-o-y, processing such high volumes resulted in high latency during the generation of analytical reports. This not only hurt their forecasting and demand planning, but also led to a high number of IT-related incidents and latency in decision-making response times. With the multiple SAP suite components scattered in multiple environments, there was a need to improve the processing capability of the environment with uniform database architecture and low total cost of ownership.
YASH consultants performed a detailed system assessment client’s existing SAP environment and identified SAP HANA database as the right fit using the SUM DMO (Software Update Manager with Data Migration Option) approach. Leveraging YASH Project Management Office, proprietary implementation accelerators like PathFinder, and our SAP CoE, the consultants mapped the complete landscape of the client and prepared a blueprint of the solution to be deployed.
The newly implemented SAP HANA database beneath the BW system helped process huge amounts of data for the client with tremendous speeds. Not only did the client get access to real-time dashboards for decision-making, it also simplified the database management platform and delivered improved performance and response times. The next-generation business analytics with a robust onsite-offshore delivery model streamlined the entire SAP landscape and provided a low total cost of ownership (TCO).
