Deploying an automated collaborative platform to improve PDI scoring for a fortune 500 manufacturer
Headquartered The United States, the client is a Construction, Resource Industries, and Energy & Transportation behemoth with operations across 180+ countries.
With vast operations of 500+ servicing and manufacturing locations globally, the client was looking to create a consolidated PDI scoring mechanism that would be easily managed and improve collaboration.
Given that the client’s existing scoring tool was not effectively managed, there was a lack of an organized, common repository of information or an effective way of tracking existing control measures. The client was also facing the lack of a common communication channel to conduct discussions, brainstorming sessions or knowledge transfers. Furthermore, the existing PDI tool has no web-based access to ease access to information.
After carefully analyzing the requirements, YASH has proposed a Microsoft Office 365 platform-based solution for PDI Gap analysis. PowerApps was used as a development tool to design custom portals with different pages and controls. The Power Automate solution was leveraged to automate various business and escalation processes. SharePoint was chosen as the database to hold all the respective information for the PDI application.
The solutions implemented by YASH helped improve the client’s PDI scoring processes and overall collaboration. Not only was there a significant improvement in the performance using PDI score gap analysis, there was also higher end-user satisfaction from the ability to make strategic decisions using the rich dashboard and data-driven scorecards.
